Hola! I'm in Madrid!
I had a very uneventful flight and not a super eventful first day. My first observation of this country... no trash cans! Anywhere! The metro here is extremely easy and stepping out from the metro stop looked like a movie set! I'm definitely in Europe! Finding my hostel was not the easiest task but I found a delightful woman who was thrilled to help me and was VERY excited when I spoke a little spanish. Anyway my cousin Amy is with me now and tonight her brother-in-law made us a delicious dinner of chicken soup and more chicken and fries. Tomorrow we're off to explore the city and hopefully eat some tapas!
