The Blue Mountains are about two hours outside of Sydney and we stayed in a small town called Katoomba. It was a very nice town and we stayed in a great older style hotel. The first day we did a bit of driving and saw some beautiful sights but the highlight was seeing kangaroos in the wild! Chris found a place where we could find them but we didn't find any driving in and were a bit bummed. Driving out I spotted one on the side of the road! After we found that one we saw a few others and let me just tell you those things can jump! It was all very exciting since they kind of seem like mystical creatures but they're real!
We saw the other sites around the Blue Mountains including the three sisters and several other gorgeous lookouts.

The second day we did an abseiling and canyoning trip. In the morning we did a few abseils with the longest one being 30 meters. It was beautiful and we got to do each one a couple times. After lunch we hiked, swam and jumped our way through a canyon and ended with another 30 meter abseil over a waterfall. It was a lot of fun and unfortunately we don't have pictures but just go back to the one I did in Austria and it looked a lot like that! After the fact we learned that someone died there the day before and that day someone had to be helicoptered out after having a pretty big fall. The outfit we went with was very safe conscious and I never felt unsafe about anything so that's good. Last note on the Blue Mountains, the flies are insane! There's so many!!!

Ahhhh, these photos are so beautiful! I love the panoramic one!
